Privacy

Effective 1 November 2026. This policy covers the Teacher2B apps for iPhone and iPad, the Teacher2B apps for Android, and the website at teacher2b.org.

The apps collect nothing

The Teacher2B apps do not collect, send or share any data about you. There is no account to create, and no sign-in. The apps have no analytics of their own and show no advertising, and they make no network requests of their own.

The iPhone and iPad app contains no third-party code. The Android app is built with open-source libraries, mostly from Google and JetBrains, including Google Play's billing library, which connects the app to Google Play for purchases. The Android app has no permission to use the internet, so nothing inside it can connect to the internet; purchases go through the Google Play Store app on your device. Google's billing library tries to send Google a record of its own use, and that fails for the same reason.

Your progress (your answers, scores and study history) is stored only on your device, inside the app. It is never sent to us or to anyone else. Because it stays on your device, it may be included in your device's own backups, which are handled by Apple on an iPhone or iPad and by Google, in your Google account, on Android. On Android, the app lets your progress into a backup in your Google account only when that backup is end-to-end encrypted with your device's screen lock, and it can also move with your other data to a new device. Deleting the app deletes your progress from the device, unless, on Android, you choose to keep the app's data when you are asked; a copy may remain in those backups and come back if you install the app again. If you save a copy with the app's Download progress button, the file goes only where you choose to save or send it.

On an iPhone or iPad, purchases are made through the App Store and handled entirely by Apple. On Android, they are made through Google Play and handled entirely by Google. The app reads your purchases on your device, to know which subjects you have unlocked, and sends nothing about them anywhere except back to Apple or Google, to confirm that a purchase was delivered. We never receive your payment details. Apple's own privacy policy and Google's own privacy policy cover those transactions.

If you have chosen, in your device's settings, to share diagnostics with app developers (on an iPhone or iPad) or with Google (on Android), Apple or Google may pass us crash reports and usage statistics about our apps, in a form that doesn't identify you. Both stores also give us totals of downloads and sales.

If you tap a link that leads outside the app, such as to this website, it opens in your web browser (Safari, on an iPhone or iPad), and this policy's website section applies there. On Android, a link to a page on Google Play, such as the one the app shows when Android System WebView needs updating, opens in the Google Play Store app.

The website

teacher2b.org keeps nothing about you. The sample questions on its front page are not recorded, and no progress is stored, in your browser or anywhere else.

The website's front page uses Google Analytics to count visits. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information about your visit, such as the page you view, your device and browser type, and your approximate location. We see only summary reports and cannot identify you from them. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can block it with your browser's privacy settings or Google's opt-out add-on.

We do not sell data, and the website shows no advertising.

Children

Teacher2B is made for adults preparing for teacher certification exams. It is not directed at children.
