What's free, and what you can buy
What can I use without paying?
Every lesson in every subject, as often as you like. Each subject also gives you one free timed Category test, in whichever topic you choose: ten questions, timed like the exam, ending with every question explained and worked through. That free test is there to show you how the app teaches — the same explanations follow every question in the paid material — rather than to cover a topic. It counts as used once you answer or skip its first question.
Even if you only need one of the tests in this app, we encourage you to try the ten free questions in every subject, to get a good feel for how the tool works. We think it's the best way to study: a challenging question, then every answer explained as soon as you finish the test.
What does unlocking a subject add?
The full-length practice test, timed like the real one; untimed practice on any topic; topic review, with each answer explained straight after the question; and timed Category tests in every topic, as often as you like.
Is it a subscription?
No. Each subject is a one-time purchase, or you can unlock every subject in the app at once. The app shows the price before you buy.
Purchases
I have a new phone, or I deleted the app. How do I get my purchases back?
Purchases belong to your Apple Account, so they come back at no cost. In the app, open any subject, tap an Unlock to access button, then tap Restore purchases. Use the same Apple Account you bought with.
On Android, purchases belong to the Google account you use on Google Play, so they come back at no cost if you delete the app and install it again. The app restores them by itself each time it opens or you come back to it. If a subject is still locked, tap an Unlock to access button, then tap Restore purchases, with Google Play signed in to the account you bought with.
I bought on an iPhone. Can I use it on Android, or the other way round?
No. A purchase made in the App Store stays with your Apple Account, and one made on Google Play stays with your Google account. There are no Teacher2B accounts and no server, so nothing carries a purchase from one store to the other: each needs its own.
Can my family share a purchase?
No. Purchases aren't shared through Family Sharing, so each Apple Account buys its own.
On Android, purchases made inside an app can't be shared through Google Play Family Library either, so each Google account buys its own.
How do I ask for a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Follow Apple's instructions to request a refund for apps or content.
On Android, refunds go through Google Play. Follow Google's instructions to request a refund on Google Play. If Google asks you to contact us, email support@teacher2b.org.
Your progress
Where are my answers and scores kept?
Only on your device, inside the app. They're never sent to us or anyone else, though your device's own backups may include them. Deleting the app deletes them from the device. On Android, they go into a backup in your Google account only when it is end-to-end encrypted with your screen lock, and uninstalling may offer to keep the app's data on the device. See the privacy policy.
How do I move my progress to another device, or keep a copy?
On any subject's page, open Back up or restore progress. Download progress saves a file of every subject's history, for example to Files or iCloud Drive. On the other device, Upload progress reads that file back, replacing whatever was saved there. It's worth doing before you delete the app.
On Android, Download progress opens your phone's own save screen, so you choose where the file goes, such as Downloads. Upload progress opens the screen for picking a file, in Downloads or on Google Drive, for example.
Can I see a test's explanations again afterwards?
Yes. The review at the end of a Category test or a practice round is kept on that subject's page as Your last review, so you can reopen it whenever you like — every question, what you chose, the right answer and how it's worked. Each subject keeps the most recent one, so your next test in that subject replaces it. Full practice tests are kept separately, with all their past scores.
Can I clear my results and start over?
Yes, one subject at a time. On that subject's page, open Clear performance data and confirm. It erases that subject's test attempts and study history on this device, so it starts fresh; your other subjects aren't affected. It can't be undone, so download a backup first if you might want the history back. It also removes that subject's kept Your last review. Clearing doesn't reset the free Category test: a subject's free test stays used.
The tests
Which exams do you cover?
The first Teacher2B app, STEM I, covers the Praxis Subject Assessments below. More apps are being prepared, each holding its own group of tests, and each is added here as it nears release. There are five sample questions to try on the front page.
STEM I
- Mathematics (5165)
- Biology (5236)
- Chemistry (5246)
- Physics (5266)
- Computer Science (5652)
Do the tests include written-response questions?
Some Praxis exams also have written-response questions. Where a test has them, the app shows written-response prompts to practise with; it does not collect or grade your answers.
Does my state use these tests?
Many US states, including Colorado, use Praxis tests for teacher licensure. But which test a state requires, and the passing score, differ by state and by subject area. Check your state on ETS's state requirements page before you study. If your state needs a test we don't cover yet, tell us which one.
I think an answer or an explanation is wrong.
Please tell us. Every question is written for this app and checked, but a wrong answer teaches the wrong thing, so we want to know. Include the subject and the question's wording. The answer choices are shuffled each time, so a letter like "B" won't help us find it.
Is this official Praxis material?
No. Unofficial practice material, not affiliated with ETS. Praxis® is a registered trademark of ETS, which does not endorse this product.
The app
Does it need an internet connection?
No. Everything is inside the app. You only need a connection to buy or restore a purchase.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS 18 or later. The Android app, coming to Google Play, needs Android 10 or later, with Android System WebView version 109 or newer: if yours is older, the app says so and links to the update on Google Play.
